Highest quality necessary, good weight and very stylish for a classic look. Schlage is always a trustworthy brand. Worth the extra few bucks over the cheapo alternatives on here, this product will last a lifetime! Direct replacement for our 20 y/o one that the finish finally wore off. So easy to install and has smooth functionality;includes matching catch plates in both black and Venetian bronze. The color is perfect, and the grip is very comfortable on the outside and inside.

This is for our entry door. We bought this to replace a keyed lockset maybe 40 years old. We have never used the key feature since we have a deadbolt. At the same time we replaced the old deadbolt with the Schlage BE365 CAM 505 in the same finish. The handle feels very solid and the latch works smoothly. Installation was straightforward except you have to be careful when drilling holes to assure that the handle is vertical. Vertical spacing is easy. You attach the bottom of the handle with a screw from the inside. This screw threads into a small plate that slides up and down a reasonable amount, so you don't need to have the perfectly correct spacing between the hole for the latch and the lower handle connection. You will need a 2-1/8 in diameter hole for the latch assembly. Since my door had the common 1-7/8 hole, I had to enlarge the hole with a hole saw. I made pre-drilled guides out of thin pieces of paneling wood to keep the hole saw steady while widening the old hole. A paper template is provided, but I didn't use it because of some unusual features of my door. I think most would find it helpful. Unless you are unusually strong, you will still need the pre-cut guide to keep the hole saw from "walking" during drilling. I used a couple of "C" clamps to keep the wooden guide from shifting. The finished product looks and feels first class.

Good handle

Looks great on the door. We did have some issues setting it up, but I think that was us not the product. It's on now, and looks really nice.

Easy to install and looks great. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars, is that I did have to drill a hole at the bottom that I was not aware of before purchasing, fortunately I had a drill

I tried to buy a cheaper lower unit to replace the original 20 year old Schlage on my door. It was noticeable cheaper in every respect so I bought this Schlage unit and it’s just fantastic. It just has a quality look and feel that is well worth the extra cost.

Easier to install than I thought it would be. Looks great, works great.
