Got them for work, I'm a courier and a diabetic and have an enlarged prostrate. So the best of all three worlds... cup of coffee, sweetened & doesn't raise my blood sugar. More opinion: This is my 7th 14oz order of this, one thing I have noticed is about every 8th or 10th piece is extremely bitter (think it's the coffee extract), these pieces really wake you up. UPDATE: IHORRIBLE... ROUGH, COARSE, ALMOST FLAVORLESS! 3RD RE-ORDER... I had reordered these a third time because they were so yummy and are sweetened with Monkfruit sweetener and Erythritol… both non-caloric. The second batch I received were about half the size as the original… but (I assumed) about twice as many (?)! I’m assuming that the reason was that Erythritol can give you gas and loose bowels if you consume too much… It’s non-caloric, so it passes right through your gut. No such problems so far! Highly recommended… DO NOT BUY THESE... They keep changing the size, wrapping & packaging, AND RECIPE... THEY ARE NOW HORRIBLE... Amazon will not accept a return of these (why not?)... So I'm sending back to the company!

These are fabulous! The first piece seemed bitter because you actually taste coffee and not sugar, yet after that you know what to expect. I loved them and have since reordered the larger size.

ISOMALT is an alcohol sugar. Can cause GI cramping and/or diarrhea. Taste is strong.

A little expensive yes, but the quality - wow - and sugar free. They are delicious - i got them for a little caffeine hit on a sluggish day. They certainly fit that bill.

I could pretty much eat chocolate every day, but I don't because I went to the dentist last month, and it was not a pleasant visit due to the work he had to do to my teeth. I blame it on the sugar-laden candy I consume(d). The office sent me home with really good sugar free candy: all flavors of life savers, jaw breakers (no thanks) and more. Sonim off sugar candy now and ordered this “chocolate” hard candy. I tried a piece and there was not a lick of chocolate flavor at all! Okay I've tried a few pieces and I do detect a minuscule amount of chocolate flavor, but not enough to claim to be designated as chocolate. The bag will last a long time. It's no temptation, no chocolate. Sorry, but I'm being honest.

Originally I purchased these and didn’t think they had a strong enough espresso flavor. The seller refunded me for my purchase and made sure that they reached out to me. In my opinion that’s great customer service.

I love espresso, so the thought of candy with that flavor and sweetened with stevia instead of sugar sounded good. But the reality is that the candy does NOT taste at all like espresso, and the taste is actually horrible--like some very bitter chemical. Ugh! So there is a whole box of the stuff (which was not cheap) and no one wants to eat even one more piece after trying it once!

I love the strong coffee flavour of these candies. But there's a problem. This product has a history of a number of designs and presentations. This is a sign there's some experimentation going on, and on various levels. Also, a sticky label on the box warns that eating too many of these candies may cause "stomach trouble". It turns out that all it takes is eating 3 within 24 hours to cause severe diarrhea. The warning - in mouse-print - on the sticky label indicates that the manufacturer is aware that one or more of the ingredients makes people sick. If they are experimenting with suitable formulas, they should not release the product until they've figured out a recipe that won't hurt people. Selling this stuff before it's been proven to be safe for everyone is irresponsible, negligent, and depending on the severity of the effect on an individual with a medical condition could even be considered criminal. As a result, I will not be purchasing any of the Anand products presented here.
