Review: The Definition of Entertainment - I cant believe i was only introduced to Wonder Woman by a few clips on facebook a few weeks ago. I watch it now and think how the heck did this ever pass me by?! I absolutely love this show. Free of the modern trend of trying to anti hero every single superhero that comes along, go back to the time when Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman WAS a real superhero with no detractions or moronic modernisms. Those modernations have ruined Batman, Spiderman and Captain America and Superman but with this original series: goodness me so delightful to enjoy a show unsullied by modernization's rubbish. Sure some of the action may look cheesy, but that is part of its main allure for me. Back when it was a series for fun, not for sexuality or explicitness. Saying that though Lynda is by far and away the ultimate Wonder Woman in absolutely every respect, from beauty to screen presence to likeability too. And she is immensely likeable as Wonder Woman. The stories are fun, full of some very humorous dialogue at times. Far far more enjoyable than anything put out by DC today. Back when shows were made with care and heart and passion just for entertaining. I could watch this show all day every day and I would never ever call it dated. If a review calls a show dated to me that is a glowing testament to it as far as I am concerned. What could be more exciting than seeing an desertcartian Immortal Princess stand against evil? Nothing better. Thanks to all the crew and men and women who were a part of making this awesome timeless show. I absolutely dig having discovered it. Lynda Carter deserves the fame her name garnered from this character. This is already one of my very favourite shows of all time. I cant believe I havent as yet found any reference books to do with this series as yet. But I am still looking.... Review: A great series - check all discs on arrival though... - Fabulous to have this as a whole series - a childhood heroine :) As there's a lot of discs in slots in each box, check them as they move about in transit and may end up with scratched ones like I did... Luckily was able to get a replacement set arranged quite quickly from desertcart.

The Original Wonder Woman
Diana leaves her island with Amazon women coming to 20th century America and fights crime. The original female superhero show. Very dated but light and fun with season 1 in World War 2 seeing Diana help fight the Nazis and seasons 2 and 3 moved to the present day, well 70's America where she fights crime as secret agent Diana Prince. None of the original comic book villains just regular crooks and the occasional alien invasion with a fine performance from Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman and backed up by Lyle Wagonner as her boss Steve Trevor in the 70's and his own father in the 40's. Very cheesy but light and fun.

Three Seasons of great entertainment, from the 1940's fighting the Nazis and a trained Pet Gorilla ordered to kill her, to the 1970's where Wonder Woman is fighting Robots, Aliens and Criminals trying to steal from large companies and, Military bases of the times. "Wonder"ful memories!!
Bargain price. Great to watch the entire series again....haven't seen this since i was 8 or 9 in the late 1970s. Lynda Carter stopped the traffic in that outfit. Great to watch an interview in the collection made around 2004 with her talking about how proud she was of the role.
