I’ve been using this conditioner for about a week now, and as a 40-year-old trying to regrow my hair, it’s been a nice addition to my routine. It has a clean, slightly herbal scent (you can definitely pick up hints of clove and ginseng), and it doesn’t feel too heavy or greasy. Works well when paired with the Active man daily shampoo.

Good product

The first thing I noticed when I opened the package was that the bottle was shrink-wrapped in plastic. I've had several similar products arrive leaking all over the inside of the box, so this was vey much appreciated. It didn't leak at all but if it had, it would have been contained. I love the way the conditioner smells and how it makes my hair feel. I wish it were available in a value-sized bottle, though. It's a little expensive for how much you get, but I like it, so I will purchase again, I'm sure.

Performance-wise this is a solid conditioner. I made the purchase as a gentleman who grew his hair out since barber shops were closed this past year and I just went with it. Long hair is a new thing for me and I picked this stuff up as a "Mens' Conditioner" and its boasted hair growth/repair benefits. Combined w/ my other products it stands up as a good conditioner - it helped keep my hair smooth and frizz to a minimum. I can't say I noticed any hair thickening or changes to growth but I wasn't hoping for miracles. I am NOT a fan of the scent - the licorice is overpowering and smelled more like a cleaning product than a masculine aroma. However, I got used to it. Be aware of how big a 9oz bottle is: it isn't much -less than a can of soda. Overall, it works well as a conditioner but I'm not a big fan of how little the bottle is for the price and the fact the aroma is kinda' gross. I think I might use it again, but I'm going to try other products first.

Smells great and works well

BLACKWOOD for men, daily conditioner to thicken hair, balance oils, and stimulates growth. My husband uses this for his hair and beard. It holds everything in place, while the scent is so sexy. Cedar wood, bergamot, lavender, etc oils combine to create an awesome symphony of aromas to please the palate. Ladies, have your man try this product. We are on our second bottle and will continue to buy it.

I have continued to buy this for my son b/c I love the natural ingredients, smell and it works great for his curly dry hair. So the actual product I'd give 5 stars and O stars for pump. They need to design a new pump top. It is VERY hard to open and sometimes doesn't. You are supposed to screw base of pump on tight to bottle, then turn the pump top counter clockwise. It's only worked 50 percent of time on purchases. So you have to pull the whole pump out when you want to use it. There's no instruction on bottle on how to open it. So you have to go to amazon site and look up product and watch video on how to open. Really hope they design new top and advertise that. Otherwise, I think we're done. Too frustrating to open.
