The heat and flavor are very good and on par with other brands. Many uses, but one quickie side dish is to slather it on thick tomato slices along with some herbs and garlic and pop under the broiler. Toward the end add some grated parmesan cheese. Quick, easy and delicious. There are so many ways to use chili oil. (Coffee pod shown for size comparison.) One problem which may have me looking for another brand is opening the jar. I wouldn't mind if it was just the first time, but it is difficult every time. I may transfer it to another container. I have a zillion ways of opening jars including the brute of a guy across the hall lol and he couldn't do it! Thankfully another reviewer shared how do do it with a knife; and it works otherwise I'd have given up. Follow-up: Well I've given up lol! I've finally thrown in the towel. Or is it the knife lol. Every time I get out the jar to use it I grimace. Using the knife isn't all that safe and it's such an unnecessary step. I finally put it in a plastic container. All is well!

It's very onion, so it hangs on your breath for awhile. I really enjoyed it, especially in ramen or rice.

Great blend of flavors. I searched for months finding most products too heavy on either garlic or onion. Some of them were so spicy the heat overwhelmed any flavor. One of the most popular left me with acute indigestion. Judgement of the heat level is such an individual thing. This to us hits the mid range of heat. Husband thinks it's a bit too spicy for him (yet he always eats it.) For me there is a definitely pleasant burn. We have it on our subscribe and save. Seriously do not want to run out of it.

As a chili crisp oil lover, I'm going to say this product is not for me. There's something about the oil base that is not good. Maybe the sunflower oil? I like the heavy onion flavor but that's the only positive thing I can say. The texture is kinda gritty and no heat whatsoever. I hate leaving negative reviews but I'm sure this purchase is going in the trash.

I am in Canada and I can't get the Trader Joe's crunchy crispy chili oil thingy so I tried this one and it's near identical. It goes with everything! It's not crazy spicy but yes it's crunchy just like Trader Joe's!
