I replaced my old shower filter cartridge with the Sprite Showers SLC-R Slim-Line replacement, and it’s been working well so far. Installation was straightforward—just a quick swap without any tools needed. Since switching, I’ve noticed the water feels cleaner and less harsh on my skin and hair, which is a big plus for daily showers. The slim design fits nicely in my existing filter housing without adding bulk or interfering with water flow. It’s name brand, it fits, and it does exactly what it’s supposed to do. No leaks, no weird smells, easy swap, done. Not exciting, not flashy, just a solid replacement cartridge that works. Sometimes boring is exactly what you want.

I’ve used these filters for a couple of decade. The only difference between now and back then is the price. These days it’s more, but I don’t mind for the quality of what I’m getting. Having softer hair and my skin not suffering as it use to is still great. When I travel and have to stay at a hotel or someone’s house without a chlorine filter can tell the difference. My hair is so dry ifs difficult to style. At this stage in life having filtered water for hair and skin is even more important as I age. Sometimes it’s a pain to swap out the replacement because the filter holder has suffered from the chlorinated water and the holder has issues. But it’s easy to get a replacement that comes with a new filter. The holder, for me, lasts a half dozen or so years. I appreciate the company has continued to produce quality filters for a decent price

It’s good, but it’s not something you should expect to work like drinking water filters or refrigerator filters. It can definitely have a positive effect on your skin and hair if attached to the shower, but it’s not meant for drinking in my opinion.

For the price, and replacement (not even ten minutes of one's time), this will keep one's skin soft, feeling better and the lime build-up at a minimum without doing any real change or reduction to water pressure or water flow. For what I'd spend on some rather senseless things, what I get out of a decent filter pays for itself rather quickly when I don't have to replace my showerhead every other year. Would recommend, and pair up with your favorite showerhead/wand combo or keep it simple with just a decent sized showerhead.

Love that I can buy these on Amazon and ship straight to me when its time to replace it. I purchased the purifier in store for my shower. I can tell a huge difference in how my skin feels after using this. I dont feel as dry, itchy or have as much redness. It definitely works.

Have water softener, but chemicals dried out skin and hair, this filter is amazing. Hair fuller, shiny, no static, skin smoother, even in dry winter months. Been using for them almost a year, change every six months.

Those a great job at filtering minerals out of the water, water here is so full of minerals that are hair was turning green and this filtering device works best 😃 I fully recommend this product!

Removes the odour and problems, much better to take a shower now

The sealing surface on the inlet side of the filter had many shallow pits, as shown in the attached photo. I could feel the roughness when passing my finger over it. I was worried that this would cause a leak, but there was no leak. My skin and hair definitely felt better after taking a shower with the new filter cartridge. Skin felt more like after taking a swim in a lake than after a shower. The review would be 5 stars based on that, but I am subtracting one star because of the damaged sealing surface. Amazon's packing was ridiculous. They simply put 3 different items from one order into a box, with no padding. But I don't think this damage happened during shipping. The filter was in its own box, and that seems undamaged. This seems like damage that happened while the plastic was at least partly molten and soft. There are also bits embedded in the plastic in a few places, and they seem to be from the media inside the filter. That could only have happened during manufacturing. There was no filter media loose outside the filter. I sent an e-mail to the manufacturer to notify them about this, attaching the photo, and got no response. Remember to grease the O-rings in the filter housing with silicone grease.
