Love this book for explaining concepts and going through the aspects of what a project could need from start to finish.

Not a hardcover as advertised. Damaged.
Book is a hybrid between hardcover/ softcover which is ok BUT book is damaged and appears used. Hard to get a good photo.

Beware comes with marks/dents
Came clearly used, had stains and marks on the books but overall in good condition. Great book id definitely get if you’re in architecture school! Helps a lot.

Not a hardcover book; you may not mind.
Book is fine, but it came damaged and it is not a hardcover book, as it said in the description. I need it for class, so I had to get it. If I wanted a softcover book, I would have purchased it elsewhere. So the book contents are 4 stars and the book itself is 2 stars.

Good resource next to the desk
This 7th edition is hardcover. Previous editions did not look to be. I would have preferred flexibound because they're a bit easier to lay flat and feel less academic. Included some example pages of what it looks like inside, resembling a mix of Building Construction Illustrated and the Fundamentals of Building Construction (by the same authors). Not everyone needs all three books because there's bound to be overlap and redundancy. I can't really rate resource books but since Amazon necessitates a score, putting a 4 if anything because of the hardcover situation. I think it can be more usable in flexibound or even what looks to be coated softcover in previous editions. Sometimes things reveal their worth only in a sudden pinch or new unexplored workflow. A desk should have resources to reference, this could be one of them that sticks around for a half decade (each edition release looks to be around 5-6 years). Or never used but undoubtedly someone else will find it useful so pass it along.

It says in the product description that this book is a hardcover, but once I received it, it's a paperback. Even though I paid for the hardcover. The only other option was the Kindle Edition, so obviously the flaw lies in the description.
