I bought these for fun to use on both paper and rocks. I love them! They release ink smoothly on either smooth or rough surfaces and the metallics are truly shiny without being garish or cheap looking. The colors are vibrant and saturated, but still pair well with the matte colors from other pen sets—it gives a sheen to the same colors instead of popping/taking all of the attention, which I really like! For anyone just getting started with rock painting and not sure what size to get: I bought the 2-3mm size and it’s great for filling in larger sections while still allowing me to attempt some details, like highlights. It’s not overly wide or particularly fine; it’s a good “medium” size. Since it’s harder to control for fine details though, I would recommend also getting some fine pens (like 0.7mm) for detailed drawings, in addition to this 2-3mm size for filling in sections or backgrounds. You’d likely only need a pen wider than this 2-3mm for larger scale artwork, as this is plenty big enough for rock painting. My only complaint about this particular set of pens is that I wish it came with a white pen too (maybe pearl or iridescent for the shine). Otherwise I’m very happy with it! Been using it for a couple of months and no clogging or drying out so far. If you’re debating between the smaller or larger set of the 2-3mm pens, get the one with more pens. It’ll be worth it to have more color options! I recommend this set for quality but inexpensive paint pens, and plan to buy them again when my current set gets used up. They’d make a good gift, too!

These are my favorite pens! I order 2 at a time bcuz I hate running out! Colors are deep and beautiful. Good quality and ink flow.

These are both far the best markers we have used. They do not run, nor bleed on paper. And they do not have a toxic smell at all. The colors are superior in our opinion, and the price is nice. We used one of the pens which matched perfectly for a pair of high-end shoes due to the color being a little faded on the material. The pen matched the shoe. What would be the odds of finding a paint marker pen that has the same color of a well-known shoe brand. Otherwise, the shoe would have been able to be worn for a very special event. We had not found the right match. Imagine a paint marker having the same color match for a pair of shoes which cost over $1,000 for a special event. We used two coats on the shoe material with the first coat drying within minutes apart. The color did not peel off at all. It just blended into the material. Perfect timing.

I love these and they're bright and exactly what I'd hoped for. Hence 4 stars. I'm withholding a star because some seem to be drying out. Granted I've had them 7 months but I've not used them much, I store them horizontally, and I keep the caps on. I only use them to highlight some Mixed Media pieces, yet drying out seems to possibly be an issue. Yes, at first it's a bit of a pain to get them started (or restarted) with ink flow, plus fairly often, when I remove a cap, the tip pulls out as it's stuck in the cap, but I'm willing to push past those for the rich, metallic colors. I'm really hoping they'll last longer than some seem to be lasting. Yet other than that I love them!

I never want these to run out because they're so vibrant and fun to draw with. I may draw with them too much because they sometimes can seem to run out a bit quickly. Ultimately, a product I buy more then once forsure.

These metallic markers really have the matallic look and with decent coverage. I love the quality and it dries quick and is smear resistant, and these are so easy to use! I feel these have so many uses for crafts and I love the functionality.

Pretty. Shiny. Bright colors. Fat tips. Hard to start the flow, and harder to get flow after using once before. Not waterproof, so will wash off eventually. I colored my boring dark blue shoes since didn't work for what I ordered for. Was fun.
