Anyone know what the difference is between this and the HS103?

Seems to be the same as HS103 besides smaller length and depth. Both support up to 15A or 1800 watts I say OR because you can also run up to 240 volts through the HS103. Most people don’t understand that plug shape doesn’t determine voltage, you could convert plug shapes from 240 to 120 v (AMERICAN) and still run 240 through the hs103 I’m sure this would be the same. Going to order and try, since I cannot find information on it here.

The EP10's overall size is smaller, allowing for more convenient installation and placement. It is also a Certified for Human Device. Certified for Humans devices meet Amazon's criteria for being surprisingly simple to use.

Can I plug a power strip into one so I can control a laptop and two wide screen monitors?

Yes, as long as the total combined load from appliances does not exceed the specifications of the plug (15A, 1800W).

Other than price, how does the kasa smart plug (4/$25) compare to the amazon brand (1/$25) smart plug? do they function similarly? reliability issues?

I have no problems with the KASA smart plugs. They will work with Amazon Alexa and at 4 for $25 seem to be a better value than $1/$25. I have only had mine for 6 months and so far no issues. I have an outdoor multiplug that is tied to my I phone and it has been outside for three years in the rain/dust/cold and heat of Central Texas with no issues. The only problem I have had is when my wifi craps out and I need to resync these to the wifi but this has only happened once. I would recommend these smart outlets. Good luck with your application
