The unit works right out of the box. You just stick into the soil at the root level and it tells you whether you need to water or not. Just wipe the tip off with a rag or paper towel and you are ready to go again. Very inexpensive and very efficient!

After my wife killed two plants from two much water, I tried this. Great investment! Now we know when to add more water.

I was hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but it works great. So easy to use and better than sticking your finger in the soil!

Terrible product. We have a lot of plants with different moisture needs and really needed an accurate meter. This one stopped working after a couple of weeks, saying everything was "moist" whether or not it was dry or soaking wet. It reads barely "moist" even in a glass of water. Wish we had returned it before the deadline was up. Buyer Beware.

Works great! I’m a beginner plant mom and this is perfect for me. The green plastic of the meter feels pretty cheap admittedly, but I’ve had it for almost a month now and I haven’t had any issues at all with it. I do plan on buying a few more, one for myself and others for my friends and family who are also new to plants. I recommend this to any other new plant lady

This thing is so awesome! Super helpful to keep from over/under watering my fussy tropical plants. At first it wasn’t responsive at all and I thought it didn’t work. I almost returned it. But after trying again I’ve found it’s super sensitive and very accurate! Not sure how they work but I’m glad it does! Very happy with it, I plan on getting a few as gifts for my friends.

I recently bought a wide range of plants and need to ensure the soil is properly moist to prevent any root rot and this does just the thing. Super easy to use and read. Does exactly what is supposed to do and at a good price

It takes the guesswork out of watering. I now know I've been overwatering in the past. This clever little device tells you exactly how wet or dry the soil is, I wish I'd bought it years ago!
