Excellent Exfoliating Shampoo
Excellent exfolliator and washes away cleanly. You don't need to use much (like one finger scoop or teaspoon) as it's for the scalp, and it lathers Very well. Even after a heavy oiling session it leaves my scalp feeling clean. I only use it 2-3x a week & I've only used half of it so far (been about 2.5 months) Warning!: Gritty texture (sea salt) & strong tingly cooling sensation if you aren't into that. Also is probably not color safe as it is an exfoliating scrub.

Great Hair starts from Healthy Scalp ❤️
This is my 2nd bottle. Excellent product to clean the scalp and could double as a shampoo as well. Have tried other scalp products, this is my favourite to maintain healthy scalp.

It made my scalp itchy and fair fall.
Itchy scalp. Flakes. Impossible to use. I’m on a healthy hair journey. Have my scalp detoxed ones a week with other great products. Wanted to give this a try and it ruined my scalp. Used it twice. My scalp been itching for 2 days, I tried it again. Same story. Return .

An Excellent Shampoo Prep
No better scalp refreshing prep on the market. The avocado, salt and aromatic cream goes to work quickly to make the scalp feel invigorated.

Scalp doesn't itch after using this product.
Smell is fantastic - hair is nice and clean and scalp does not itch. One does not have to use very much of the product either.

Very Thick
Ever since I heard Renee from Gothamista, one of my fave YouTube beauty vloggers, talking about the importance of scalp cleansing, I've been obsessed with finding a good pre-shampoo treatment. I was hoping to find something to clarify, detoxify and exfoliate my scalp, but haven't had much luck. As far as I can tell, this is just an ultra-thick cream shampoo that contains a small amount of large water soluble beads. The beads don't feel like they're exfoliating my scalp and, to be honest, don't even seem as if they're penetrating in that deeply before they begin to break down. So...not really what I'm looking for at all. In terms of how this works as a shampoo? Well, a little goes a long, long way. As I mentioned, it's very thick and it creates a dense lather that's almost difficult to rinse clean. On the upside, it does have a nice refreshing scent. This is probably not best suited to my baby fine hair. I suspect it might work better for thick curly hair with a tendency toward dryness. While I've continued to use it weekly as a kind of conditioning shampoo treatment, it hasn't satisfied my desire for a scalp cleansing pre-shampoo treatment and I can't really recommend it for anyone looking to remove dead skin or detox their scalp.

Awesome
I love Philip B Volume Shampoo, so when I saw this I had to try it. This is the 1st scalp scrub I have used & not given away. Absolutely love it!

Scalp-tinglingly good
My experience with this product was...complicated. Or at least my overall feelings about it are. So, when I first got this, I wasn’t completely clear on what it WAS. Was it a shampoo? Or was it just a scalp treatment that needed to be washed off afterward? How do I use it? Luckily, instructions for use are on the listing. I had to reference those, because I could NOT get at the instructions stuck to the bottom of the tub. (They’re affixed as a sticker that you pull apart to reveal the instructions, only mine didn’t peel apart.) I have long, naturally curly hair that I either style curly or straight. Either option takes a LOT of hair product to make it look presentable. I wash my hair every four days or so and start over. So clarifying shampoos and similar are an absolute must for me to get all the product out. Turns out, at its most basic level, that’s really what this is. It’s just the format that’s a little different. So you take a dollop out of the tub and rub it into your scalp. It foams up REALLY well, so it ends up being easy to get all your hair in there, once you’ve got your scalp saturated. I really liked the lather part, and the fact that it doesn’t get all drippy and run down into my eyes. So it was easy to lather up my scalp, get my hair in on the action, pile it all on the top of my head and go about the rest of my shower. Bonus points for that experience, definitely. Here’s where it gets complicated. Years ago, I had a terrible reaction to hair dye when my stylist switched between major brands and didn’t mention it. I don’t know whether it was an allergic reaction, a chemical burn, or both. But it burned like crazy and afterward, the entire top several layers of skin on my scalp fell off. This product felt exactly the same way. Truthfully, I kind of panicked a bit. But I had read the ingredients beforehand and remembered that this product was billed as “invigorating,” so I had to keep telling myself it wasn’t the same thing at all. And it’s really not. For most people, the icy cold “burning” sensation is probably a pleasant novelty. For me, not so much. In the end, though, the results were fantastic. My hair was completely clean. As a clarifying product, this is really top-notch. As I mentioned initially, though, the format is a little strange. It’s like a thick cream and it’s got weird chunks in it. (Still not sure what those were.) But it does a fantastic job of removing product residue and really does make your scalp feel invigorated.
