Global Crafts 24" Recycled Handmade Haitian Metal Wall Art Tree of Life with Birds, Double Tree

Lovely. I bought 2 of these, slightly dissimilar design, and used them on either side of a large sunburst mirror on my dining room wall. I think they are gorgeous. I would highly recommend.

This is a lovely tree of life. After having it on my wishlist for a long time, it was the first thing I ordered after surviving a car wreck caused by a drunk driver. It serves as a reminder not to skimp on things we love, as any time it can be too late. Not just material, but anything that makes one's life more enjoyable and worthwhile. Art has that effect. It is well-made and looks perfect on my light colored entry wall with the sun shining on it every day. It is just under 24"diameter and a truly unique piece of metal art that also helps the people who make it in Haiti. The packaging however,was lacking-it came very bent out of shape, like after they extracted me from my totaled car. However my car had a crash frame which saved me, this was packed in a flimsy, too large box without any supporting rigid material. I wish someone would pay attention.... Now you cannot tell I fixed it up and really, if you have coveted this, I highly recommend to go ahead or any of their other steel drum art projects. Live it is true to it's picture, a solid tree-of-life.

I love this piece. I compared it to several other Haitian works of steel drum art on amazon and settled on this one for its elegance, airiness, and beautiful birds. Not only does it appear beautifully crafted from a distance, its intricate and delicate etchings make it that much more special and beautiful when you can view it closely. It's hard for me (and my rather limited patience) to imagine the amount of time and care put in to creating this art and I am honored to own it. It's hung in my home above the entryway door, which unfortunately can't be appreciated up close by visitors. When I'm showing off the piece and describing its origins, I find myself saying "you should see the details up close!". Perhaps I will relocate this work of art to a more accessible area where its detail can be fully appreciated. I'm confident it would enhance the look and feel of any space it's hung in.

I loved the plaque, however it would have been nice if there was so.e means on the back that would make hanging it easier. I had a tough time centering it on my wall. I didn't want to put anymore holes in my wall than necessary.

I received this tree a few months ago and love it. It is not as heavy as I expected and sits nicely on the wall. There is no mounting hardware so you'll have to figure out how to make it work for you. I have a small OOK hanger that is somewhat hidden and holds it up easily. The artworks is incredible. Looks like it is handmade and 100% original, although I can't really tell if it was stamped out of a metal press or not. Great detail and lots of little hidden birds throughout.

This wall art is fairly heavy and a beautiful, warm brown color. It shows up the detailing very nicely. It does have a bit of an odor but you have to be up close to it to smell it. It smells more like paint than oil. It has a very glossy finish. There isn't an actual hanger on it but there ended up being a little notch at the top in the design where if you put a nail, it hangs perfectly. I was lucky enough to find a stud to put the nail in because I was somewhat concerned about the weight when hanging. Especially since it was going over a brand new custom made sideboard.

This Tree of Life is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! Very intricately made. Came from Haiti and was hand made and hammered with great style and DETAIL! We did change the color with a dark gold rustoleum paint to match our home trim colors. Hung it up over our garage door peak. We get many compliments from neighbors. Reasonable price and came quickly too. We LOVE IT!

The artwork itself is nice, but as noted by some others, the shipping package is poor - so the top leaves were bent. I needed to use pliers to straighten them and being careful not to damage it too much. It is also slightly darker than it appears in the photo (probably due to flash used in the photo).

Light weight, lovely detail
