They fit my needs exactly.Of the two boards I got, one already had "Blink" uploaded to it. It also has a very tight fitting USB type B socket.I suspect it may be a customer return. It works, price is low, no harm no foul.About the asterisk in the headline, they clearly state in the listing that it uses the CH340 USB to serial converter.Many(overseas ripoffs) used to just use FTDI clone parts but FTDI put the foot down on illegal clones.I knew what to expect so no buyers remorse when I had to jump thru a hoop to get them to work on my linux box.Specifically I had to include support for the CH341(includes the CH340) in the kernel.I roll my own kernel so I had to enable ch341 and recompile the kernel.For most folks you will probably only need to load the precompiled module available from your distro repository."sudo modprobe ch341" might be all you need to proceed.If that does not work you may need to install the kernel source code and compile it your own self.You HAVE been warned, LOLOLOL :-)

I purchased 12 of these for making respirators for COVID, and all worked as expected. They have a significant advantage, that they have an extra row of wire holes, which allows you to both plug in a shield, and also solder wires directly to the board. In my case, I made a harness from the wire holes on one board, to a shield which plugged into another - worked really cleanly, and no worry of wires popping out in use.A great deal, for a quality board with the bonus wire holes. This will be my default Uno.

We use the Treedix board to support Mathworks Simulink hosting for engineering prototyping. We found that the Treedix supports code deployed to hardware "Run on board mode" but not the useful server "Simulink IO mode".

Excellent works as described, nice to have if you’re doing hobby projects or teaching youngsters. Well worth price

These are about the tenth or eleventh Arduino board that I've implemented but I cannot set up communications with these two boards. Yes, I installed the driver, and uninstalled it, re installed it, and updated it more times than I care to admit. But still nothing.I've read that others have had similar problems, so maybe its me, maybe it isn't.W\But why take that chance? A real Arduino board is only a few dollars more, and considering the time I put into programming and deploying my projects, an extra 5 or 6 bucks for the reliability of genuine hardware is SOOO worth it.Don't bother with the knock offs

Using Arduino with CH340 USB chip is not as convenient and straight forward as the one with 16U2, original design from Arduino. But there are many solutions out there so i tried this product. i couldn't get it working after try installing every CH340 driver i can find on the web. However when i look carefully at software messages, i realized that, for unknown reason, the computers think it is FTDI chip. There is no markings on the USB chip on device so i can't tell if it is CH340 or FTDI. So i tried FTDI driver instead and it works well on my windows machine. it also works on ubuntu machine.

I love that it came in a see-through box that held both Arduinos! It prevents damage and it can become a project box or one can use as a storage for small parts.

Update: Had an issue with one of the units. The seller reached out to me to ask how they can make it right, and sent out a replacement unit very promptly. Nice people to do business with, I with others were as good as them.These Arduinos work great and a good price.
