Worked on my laptop
I bought these to correct an SSD overheating issue that I experienced with the Acer Predator Helios 16 (2023 edition with the Intel i9 and Nvidia RTX 4080). Essentially, the laptop's stock SSD is prone to overheating, and it even idled warm (upwards of 55C in some cases, in a climate controlled house). So, I looked around, saw a random YouTube video of someone using a product that looks similar to this one (might even be this one, I don't know lol), so I gave it a shot. Pros 1. It actually worked. After installation, the SSD idled at around 40-45C and ceased throttling under load. I could still make it throttle if I pushed it hard enough, but it was DEFINITELY a MASSIVE improvement. 2. Installation was easy enough. Place thermal pad on SSD, place copper heatsink on top, secure with the clear plastic bands. Screw SSD back into its slot. Win. Easy stuff. 3. I appreciate that there were different thicknesses. Laptops don't have a ton of clearance. I used the thinner of the two pads and I'm sure I could've used the thicker one, but once I saw the results I got, I didn't want to mess with it again. 4. Honestly, I think this is amazing for laptop owners. A lot of modern laptops have SSDs that run hot (Acer, Lenovo, and I think either HP or Dell are particularly bad with it. Less so with Asus and either HP or Dell (whichever one I got wrong the first time lol)). This corrects that problem. 5. Cheap. Honestly, for the amount of work it does, it may be one of the better price-to-performance PC/laptop parts I've ever purchased. Cons 1. It's not the most attractive thing you've ever seen, but considering how few people actually sit and stare at the bottom of their laptops with the cover off, it literally doesn't matter in the slightest. Overall, I ended up eventually returning my Acer Predator Helios 16 (just wasn't for me, even though it's a beastly laptop) and ended up with an Asus G18 instead. Fortunately, the G18 doesn't need an SSD heatsink like the Acer did. I could've returned this for a refund since I didn't need it anymore, but I liked it so much that I kept it. The other thermal pads are still in new condition so I have an SSD heat sink if I ever need one. In short, this product works wonders if your laptop SSDs run hot, like mine did. If I decided to keep my Helios 16, I would still be using this. Heck, I might install it on my G18's SSD just to have it there.

They Worked!
These are great! Hefty copper plates with two different thicknesses of thermal pads. They fit in my mini pc fine and immediately dropped my NVMe temps like ten degrees. A+, about to buy another set!

Cheap and works
These were cheap and performed significantly better than the heat transfer system that was used by the factory that assembled my laptop. Temperatures are 12C cooler under load and throttling is gone. The provided copper is quite thin, which is great for the tight spaces of a laptop. The included 0.5mm pads (thinner than the usual 1mm pads, also included) was a great option for fitting the tight spaces of a laptop. The heat sink area is smaller than competing products and the flex of the thin heat sinks can create a challenge for SSDs with chips on just one half of the backside of the SSD. They were quite tricky to install given the stiffness of the retention bands and the finickiness of the thin copper material. The included instructions didn't make clear what the thin insulator strip was for, making things more difficult for amateurs to install. But once I got it installed, at least for my laptop, it did the job. It's not pretty looking, but who's looking inside my laptop? Great value for the money and did the job.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Dropped my NVMe temps 10°C+ — worth every penny!
Dramatically lowered temps in my Alienware laptop. • Gaming (under load): 72°C → 62°C • Idle: 52°C → 43°C Build quality: Solid copper, perfect thickness for heat dissipation. Application: Super easy — just stretch the rubber bands well first (see tip below). Pro Tip for the bands (if you're struggling): 1. Stretch the bands really well in all directions. 2. Cup the NVMe in your palm. 3. Hook one side of the band and hold with your thumb. 4. Pull the other side over and slide the band down. Stopped thermal throttling, restored full NVMe speed, fans stay quiet. 100% would buy again.

Good value and performance
The heat sinks were fairly easy to install. There were two thin plastic strips, yellowish-brown in color, which were not described in the included instruction card. So I didn't know what to do with them. My main problem with these heat sinks is that they are very stiff and don't conform to the contour of the upper surface of the SSDs. Some chips are higher than the circuit board, so if the heat sink is contacting the higher chips, there is a gap between the heat sink and the lower part of the SSD board. I was wishing for some thermal paste to fill in the gaps so that heat could be more efficiently transferred to the heat sink. I don't have a way to measure the temperatures of my SSDs, so I'm not sure if they're making a difference, but I did run the laptop for a while, and then felt the heat sinks with my fingers. They were quite warm, so I know that at least some heat from the SSDs is being transferred.

Worked very well in my laptop.
So, I have a very toasty m2 nvme in my Lenovo Legion 5 Slim laptop. I bought a 2tb Samsung 990 pro, which, typicaly run hot. I did not like seeing my ssd getting to 60c-65c, so I wanted to come up with some way to cool it. There are no vents in the legion 5 by the ssd, and it sits right under the gpu, so it can get very toasty. This product worked amazing for my needs. Dropped idle temps nearly 20c, and during load about 10-15c. I ended up putting the thinnest thermal pad on the bottom, the larger on the top, then the copper plate, then the kapton tape that came with this (I did not use the rubber bands even though I had enough room for it.). I ended up doing the same setup on the other 512gb ssd inside my laptop, even though that one ran significantly cooler, and it still dropped the idle temps 10c. All n all, I am very pleased with the results from this cooler. Do I recommend it in a desktop pc, no, but a laptop, most definitely. Besides if you have a desktop pc, and your m2 is overheating / thermal throttling you have other issues to worry about. With proper ventilation no m2 in a desktop should be overheating. And if it is, there are far better heatsinks to get for inside that use case. So in conclusion, if you have a laptop, and a toasty m2, this will absolutely help.

Low-Profile Copper, Great Quality
Finding a heatsink that fits inside a gaming laptop without blocking components or bulging the bottom panel isn’t easy, but this one nailed it. The copper is thin enough to clear everything while still giving that extra bit of thermal help I was looking for. It installed clean, looks sharp, and feels like a proper upgrade without overcomplicating things. For tighter builds where space is limited, this hits the sweet spot. Definitely glad I went with this instead of trying to rig something less precise.
