Solar Panel

Panel seems well made and works as described. Shipping was fast but very poor packaging, panel was in a single box the same size as the panel. The box was crushed in the center and I was sure before I opened it was going to be broke but luckily it was fine. Very little shading greatly reduces output, I guess because its a Polycrystalline not sure.

I converted my system from BP to Peimar solar panels just 3 years ago. The panels work as expected providing the energy promised. My complaint is not so much about the panels but the warrant that Peimar guarantees. After 2 years the 4 0f my 6 panels showed signs of impending failure. I am off grid and can not go without power for the obvious reasons. I contacted the installer for directions on how to proceed to have the panels replaced.It took the warranty department a long time to even respond after sending in the information needed to begin the replacement process. #1 Peimar was unnecessarily slow to respond to the initial investigation. #2 Peimar was only willing to replace 4 (damaged) panels and not the 6 originally installed even though there is a good chance that the remaining 2 panels will fail as the other 4. Peimar would only replace the panels and nothing more. My installer would have to cover the cost of the replacement without compensation and receive nothing from Peimar until the damaged panels were returned and would take months if ever to receive compensation. The cost for the time for my installer to replace the panels was in no way covered under the warranty so the burden of a failing system is now the cost of the consumer. A product is only as good as the warranty or guarantee claims and nothing more. As for the panels, they work as a solar panel should but I would strongly advise that no potential solar panel purchaser look to other sources for a good product and a company that stands behind its warranty. Peimar has failed this consumer and suspect that if any other purchaser of Peimar products would experience the same lousy customer service as I have.Forget about Peimar, look elsewhere. The failure of this product and the cost to replace it will come out of your pocket. It appears that their warranty changes with every new product introduced so as they say "Buyer Be Aware".

Headline says 20 watt but the description says 200 watt

I have had these panels for 3 years after one year one died as the junction box obviously leaked and rotted the terminals. 9 months ago a second panel died but in a non-obvious way. I am an experienced electronics engineer with many years behind me. Eventually I proved that a third of the panel was dead when put under load. Peimar have done nothing, they do not want to honour the warranty and will not even consider the panel is faulty. I have ended up looking for a replacement and paying for the privilege.Thanks Peimar great service!
